The first post

You know it is curious, I created this blog almost six months ago and yet this is the first posting I have done. Was it because I didn't have anything interesting to write about, I didn't know what I should be writing about, or as I kept telling myself, I just haven't had the time. At any rate, I think I am ready to begin my journey in the big bad world of blogging- so I guess I should just get started

I got married this past summer as you could probably tell by the picture on the homepage and I was really looking for a way to document and talk about the newness of marriage and all that is has to offer, the good and the bad and possibly ugly without getting too personal- I promise.

I really had hoped to have some great stories from our Honeymoon that would help me get started with this blogging thing, but we were so disappointed with our trip that it took a while to really think of our debacle of a trip as comical.

Then I thought our first Thanksgiving as a married couple would most definitely supply some juicy material- burning the turkey or screwing up the stuffing and the dressing or forgetting to buy the alcohol, but my husband was saved from all of that this year when a friend invited us over and what amazed me was how quickly he jumped at the opportunity for me NOT to cook my first turkey. I promise next year though- this will be a great story.

Isn't married life supposed to have a little more spunk than this?
